The Cross Riverians in the Diaspora (CRID) are excited to announce the 2025 Convention, set to take place from August 1st to 3rd, 2025, at the New Bingley Hall, 1 Hockley Circus, Birmingham, B18 5PP, UK. This year’s theme focuses on the vital contributions of the diaspora to the development and sustainability of Cross River State.

This three-day event will feature keynote speeches from distinguished guests, including His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, and Hon. Akibe Dahiri-Erewa, the Chairman of the Birmingham City Council. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with policymakers, community leaders, and fellow diaspora members, fostering connections that strengthen the ties between Cross Riverians at home and abroad.

The convention will also include a Dinner Night and Award Ceremony to honour individuals and organisations making significant strides in promoting the welfare and development of Cross River State. The event aims to highlight the importance of collaboration between the diaspora and local stakeholders to achieve sustainable growth in the region.

“We are proud to bring together Cross Riverians from around the world to share ideas, celebrate our culture, and discuss actionable strategies for contributing to the development of our beloved state,” said Hon. Otu Okor, Commission Chairman.
