The Chairman of the Cross River State Diaspora Commission (CRIDCOM), Prince Otu Okor in company of Hon Commissioner, Mrs Emily Maduike, paid an official visit to the Special Assistant (SA) Support Group to His Excellency, Apostle Sen Bassey Edet Otu, the Governor of Cross River State.
During the visit, Prince Okor discussed potential areas of collaboration between CRIDCOM and the SA Support Group. He highlighted the Commission’s role in engaging Cross Riverians in the diaspora and its potential to contribute to the State’s development.
The CRIDCOM Chairman also informed the SA about the Cross Riverians in Diaspora Support Group 4 Prince Otu, an initiative aimed at mobilizing diaspora votes and support for the Governor.
Additionally, he briefed the SA on the progress of the Diaspora Voting Bill, which has passed its second reading at the Federal House of Representatives, stating that passage of the diaspora voting bill will be an advantage.
The SA welcomed the initiative and expressed enthusiasm about the potential partnership. The visit demonstrates CRIDCOM’s commitment to building strategic relationships and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to drive the State’s development agenda.
